Did you know seniors should aim for 150 minutes of movement each week? Staying active is one of the most powerful — and often underprescribed — ways to improve overall health and prevent common issues. Exercise and proper nutrition truly are medicine. Let’s keep moving! 💪✨

Taking small steps, like adding more physical activity to your day, can reduce your risk for heart disease. At least 150 minutes of exercise for adults every week can help keep our hearts healthy. https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/resources/move-more-making-physical-activity-routine

🚧 Eastern Shore Trail Expansion Underway! 🌿

Construction has officially begun on a new 1.84-mile segment of the Eastern Shore Trail along U.S. 98, starting at Fish River.

This 8-foot-wide asphalt multi-use trail will expand the existing 23-mile trail system to nearly 24.8 miles, marking the next step in strengthening connectivity across the Eastern Shore including enhanced access toward Magnolia Springs.

As Baldwin County continues to grow, projects like this provide a safer, dedicated space for pedestrians, cyclists, and other non-motorized users along one of our most traveled corridors. The investment supports alternative transportation, encourages healthy lifestyles, and enhances quality of life throughout the region.

Expected completion: Summer 2026 ✔️

Funding for this project was secured through former U.S. Representative Jerry Carl.

Please use caution in work zones and follow posted signage as construction progresses.
