Fibromyaligia is a debilitating syndrome that can affect people physically, mentally and socially. It's characterized by widespread pain, and in severe cases it can interfere with basic daily activities.

Fibromyalgia event last night was incredible. I was very excited to have Louella Harris with the National Awareness Campaign for Upper Cervical Care as the speaker and she did not disappoint. The event was recorded and we will make DVD's available to anyone who was unable to attend.

Thanks to everyone involved in making the talk a huge success.

Sorry for not staying up to date on this page. Seems that there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Meetings have been going well. There seems to be new guest each month. Remember we meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Thomas Medical Center in Daphne at 10:30. Hope to see you there.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Wendy Pierce (no relation), a disability attorney in Fairhope. She is familar with Fibromyalgia and will be a great source of information. She will be presenting at the May meeting. See you there.

Good meeting today. Rosemarie did a great job! I plan on inviting one or two people who have started care at my office since attending a meeting. They will be able to share their life before Upper Cervical Care and what they are experiencing now. The meeting will be held at the conference room at Thomas Medical in Daphne.

Our second meeting was held Tuesday and we had 2 new people attend the group. We discussed upcoming events for the year and tentatively decided to have a massage therapist give a presentation at the February meeting. We also discussed having a Fibro conference later in the year so that we can bring more information to sufferers and also awareness to the devasting affects of this condition.

Meeting at the Foley Kiwanis club was fun. I had the opportunity to discuss our new Fibromyalgia support group and a free meal. What a deal! Thanks to all the Kiwanis members for being such a good crowd and asking questions.
