Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is not just a long weekend—it's a time to reflect, to honor, and to give thanks for the freedom we enjoy because of their courage.

As Autism Awareness Month comes to a close, we are incredibly grateful for the support, understanding and advocacy shown by our community through the years.

We continue to accept patients without a prior diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental disorder.

Recently we been receiving more requests to “sign off” on screenings and evaluations completed by therapists. While we truly value the work outside professionals do and often agree with their findings, we want to be transparent. If we are not directly involved with the patient on a given date of service, we cannot ethically sign those documents. Signing without firsthand observation is considered fraudulent and we want to make sure we always stay within the standard of care.

As the landscape of diagnosing developmental disorders continues to change to improve the lives of young children, we are totally devoted to each child and their family.

Unfortunately, our internet has been down today! We have reported the outage and they are trying to restore connection. This may affect medications being sent, medical records being sent out, faxes coming in and phone calls! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause families.

We are celebrating World Autism Awareness Day here at ESDC!

Acceptance means to us here at ESDC showing genuine respect and appreciation, recognizing our shared humanity while also valuing the differences that make each child unique. When it comes to individuals on the autism spectrum, it means celebrating their traits, not just tolerating them. It requires us to confront our own discomfort and biases, and work toward a more inclusive society—one where neurodiverse individuals are not only seen but respected and supported. True acceptance challenges us. It asks us to grow by including those who may not fit into familiar molds and learning to share space with people who experience the world differently. Inclusion starts in our everyday lives, in how we interact, connect, and make room for everyone in this world.
