As we welcome 2026, our hearts are full of gratitude for 2025. 💙

This year, we are thankful for incredible growth, the exciting building our hospice house 🏠, and—most importantly—our amazing employees and dedicated volunteers who make our mission possible every day. 🙏🌟

We are especially grateful to the patients and families who entrust us with their care during some of life’s most meaningful moments. It is truly an honor to walk alongside you, offering comfort, dignity, and support. 🤍

Today our amazing RN Sam traded scrubs for a Santa hat and became Samta Claus! 🎅

Samta made special visits to our local community partners, and it was a reminder that compassion is the best gift of all. 🎁✨

The holidays can be filled with lights, laughter, and traditions—but for many, they also carry the weight of loss. 🤍

At Solace Hospice Care, we walk alongside families who are navigating grief during a season that can feel especially tender.

If your holidays feel quieter, heavier, or different this year, please know this: there is no “right” way to grieve. It’s okay to miss them. It’s okay to honor old traditions—or to create new ones. It’s okay to feel joy and sorrow in the same breath.

Grief doesn’t take a holiday, and neither does compassion. We are here to offer comfort, understanding, and support—not only at the end of life, but through every season that follows.

If you’re carrying loss this holiday season, you are not alone. We hold space for you, your memories, and your love. 🕯️

For the second year in a row, Holy Cross Lutheran Church Ofallon has generously created beautiful lap blankets, covers, and quilts as holiday gifts for our Solace patients. 🧶💙

Each handcrafted piece has been lovingly blessed by church members and includes a thoughtful prayer card. 🙏✨

All of the blankets are now wrapped—thank you to our wonderful volunteer elves 🎁🧝‍♀️🧝‍♂️—and ready for delivery to our patients.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, time, and care shared by Holy Cross Lutheran Church. 💕This generous tradition brings warmth, comfort, and joy to our patients, and we thank the church and its members for making such a meaningful difference! ❄️🤍
