As parents, we often think that if our kids can see the board clearly, their eyes must be perfectly fine. I made that mistake myself. I was so focused on making sure my sonās myopia was managed and didnāt get worse⦠that I never thought to check his depth perception.
It wasnāt until our amazing Dr. Danielle did a full eye exam that we discovered he had no depth perception a binocular vision issue. Suddenly it all made sense: why he avoided soccer, why he didnāt enjoy certain activities.
This is why a comprehensive eye exam is so important for every child, not just those who complain of blurry vision. Hidden issues like binocular vision dysfunction can affect learning, reading, and even the joy of play.
Every child should have an eye exam before kindergarten and again before 1st grade. Donāt wait until thereās a problem prevention is everything.
š¬ Parents, have you ever had a similar experience where something āclickedā after your childās eye exam?
