With her passion for promoting optimal oral function, Jessica is now equipped with advanced skills to help individuals address myofunctional disorders that can impact breathing, swallowing, speech, and overall well-being.

As a Certified Myofunctional Therapist, Jessica works closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on retraining oral and facial muscles for better function and health. Some of our clients…
✅ produced a /k/ sound for the first time
✅ said their first two-word combinations
✅ independently asked a peer for a turn
✅ wrote an email advocating for themselves & their stutter

Each small step towards a goal is something to celebrate. We love sharing in this with our kiddos!

We love when siblings join our sessions! It helps with carryover and can be very motivating. Plus, explaining the rules of a game is a great stretch of any child’s language skills.

Sometimes the best way to get your child talking is to say nothing at all! 🤫

Try pausing for 5 - 7 seconds after saying something to your child. Show that you are waiting expectantly by raising your eyebrows, smiling, and opening your mouth.

This 'pregnant pause' encourages your child to take a communicative turn, while also providing them time to process information and to form their response!
