Happy National Grandparents Day from all of us at Atria Darien ! We celebrated with a delightful ice cream social, cherishing the special bonds between grandparents and their grandchildren. We had an incredible learning experience on our guided tour of The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, a national historic landmark located in Norwalk, CT. This gem, built between 1864 and 1868, stands as one of the earliest and most significant examples of Second Empire Style architecture in the United States.
From its stunning design to its rich history, every moment was a reminder of the elegance and craftsmanship of a bygone era. We left feeling inspired and enlightened! If you haven’t visited yet, we highly recommend it!

🌿 We had an incredible afternoon at Earthplace, a stunning 62-acre nature and wildlife sanctuary! We had an incredible time visiting the iconic Eiffel Tower, soaking in the breathtaking views. Our culinary journey included savoring classic French dishes such as French onion soup, Coq au vin, Duck à l'orange, and indulging in delightful macaroons and flan. To top off the evening, we enjoyed the timeless film "The Last Time I Saw Paris." It was a wonderful blend of culture, cuisine, and cinema!

Had a fantastic day visiting Janet's garden! We explored her impressive array of vegetables and picked fresh tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and onions. The highlight was creating a beautiful salad drizzled with olive oil-absolutely delicious! Paired it with some crusty bread for the perfect snack.

Our Social Series - The Great Outdoors we took an African Safari tour! On our incredible tour, we had the chance to see some of the most magnificent animals up close - including powerful tigers, elephants, the iconic towering giraffes, the graceful gazelles, monkeys and many more. 🐅🐘🦒 It was awe-inspiring to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitats. We were in complete awe! And to cap off our adventure, we finished our evening immersed in the great outdoors, taking in the sights and sounds of this incredible landscape while enjoying trail mix, dried fruits, granola bars and other snacks.

🌱At Atria Darien, our Gardening Club had a fantastic time harvesting fresh string beans! Nothing beats the taste of homegrown veggies. 🥗
We also relaxed by learning about the art of aromatherapy. Everyone had fun creating their own personalized blends using essential oils. 🌿 It was a day filled with the flavors of homegrown goodness and the calming scents of natural wellness.
