Families gathered to enjoy a delicious lunch, featuring a buffet of savory dishes and sweet treats that everyone loved. The room was filled with laughter, love, and great company.

The highlight of the day was a special visit from the Easter Bunny, bringing smiles to all! The children had a wonderful time participating in an exciting Easter egg hunt, searching for colorful surprises hidden all around.

Passover Observance

We were honored to come together as a community at Atria Darien for a meaningful and beautiful Passover observance, led by our Community Sales Director Monica Lynn.

Residents gathered to take part in a traditional Seder, reflecting on the story of freedom and renewal. The table was thoughtfully prepared with symbolic elements of the Seder plate, including matzah, bitter herbs, charoset, and parsley, each representing an important part of the Passover story.

We had a wonderful time at our Joyful Tea Tasting! ☕✨

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of sampling delicate and delicious teas from around the world, including selections from France, India, Japan, and South America. Each tea was thoughtfully paired with complementary snacks, making the experience even more delightful.

Stories about the rich traditions behind these teas were shared, offering a glimpse into different cultures and customs. We also learned about the many health benefits of the various teas.

Lecturer Spotlight: Norwalk-based historian Art Gottlieb specializes in political and military history. A veteran and former curator at the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum, he’s dedicated to bringing 20th-century history to life. He recently spoke about former President Herbert Hoover's life and legacy. We’re lucky to have Art as a weekly lecturer.

🍀 Saint Patrick’s Bingo Fun! 🍀

We enjoyed a festive afternoon of Saint Patrick’s-themed Bingo, along with a fun crown-making craft and delicious sweet treats.

After the activities, residents were treated to a special performance by the extraordinary violinist Albert Muland. It was a wonderful day in honor of the patron saint of Ireland.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️

In celebration of the holiday, Atria welcomed back Stamford’s Pender Keady Academy of Irish Dancers. Thirteen talented dancers performed for a packed house, bringing wonderful energy and festive spirit to our community. Our staff was also inspired by the lively tap dancing—our very own Wilner even stepped onto the dance floor to show off some moves!

Following the performance, the dancers and their family members spent time visiting with residents, making the day even more special.

Golden Oldies Fun! 🎶
A wonderful time was had by all while singing and dancing to timeless hits during our Golden Oldies-themed event. Favorites like Dion’s “Runaround Sue” and Chubby Checker’s “The Twist” had everyone tapping their toes and moving to the music. Classic retro hors d’oeuvres, including pigs in a blanket and deviled eggs were served. It was a joyful afternoon filled with great music, delicious bites, and plenty of smiles!

A few days ago, Janet and Kendi, along with Wilner, had the wonderful opportunity to take three of our residents and a personal aide to visit Malta House, a shelter that supports expectant mothers and their babies here in Fairfield County.

During the visit, our residents delivered donations that had been collected at a previous community event, along with several beautiful handmade items they lovingly knitted themselves. It was a meaningful moment for everyone involved, and our residents were proud to contribute something personal to support young mothers and their growing families.

Malta House is one of the only homes in Fairfield County serving pregnant women over the age of 18 and one of a limited number of programs supporting young homeless mothers and their babies. We are grateful for the work they do and were honored to play a small part in supporting their mission.

Moments like this remind us how powerful community and compassion can be. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort and to our residents whose generosity and kindness made it all possible. ❤️

Our residents utilize their artistic expression to paint bird houses. We discussed their favorite things about the birds in our local area, different styles of birds and our excitement for our next Horticultural meeting.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of hot cocoa, sweet treats, and creating adorable marshmallow snowmen. From pretzel arms to candy smiles, each snowman was full of personality!

Events like these bring laughter, creativity, and connection, making winter extra special at Atria Darien. ⛄❤️

Love was truly in the air as residents came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening full of music, laughter, and delicious chef-prepared cuisine.

Our community enjoyed a beautiful live performance that filled the room with romantic melodies, followed by an elegant dinner and sweet desserts made with care. It was a wonderful reminder that Valentine’s Day is not just about romance, it’s about friendship, connection, and the joy of sharing special moments together.

Thank you to our residents and team for making the evening so memorable. We love celebrating life with you every day!
