We are very excited to introduce the newest member of our team, Dr. Sara Golkari. Dr. Golkari is thrilled to be joining Darien Pediatric Dentistry after six wonderful years of practicing pediatric dentistry. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Sara completed most of her education in the Northeast. She earned her Bachelor’s degree, magna cm laude, from Tufts University and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) summa cm laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society and Honos Civicus, a society recognizing students for academic excellence and civic leadership.

Inspired by her mother’s love for pediatric dentistry, Dr. Sara pursued her specialty training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital—one of the top-ranked children’s hospitals in the country—where she earned her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. During her time in Philadelphia, she was honored as a Top Dentist by Philadelphia Magazine for three consecutive years.

Having once been a nervous dental patient herself, she truly understands how to connect with children and help them feel comfortable, safe, and even excited about visiting the dentist.

Dr. Sara has had the privilege of working with families in both Philadelphia and Chicago, building strong relationships and honing her warm, approachable style of care. she’s very excited about establishing her family here in Connecticut after many years of relocating for her husband’s education. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Will, their brand new baby girl, Layla, and their sweet dog, Boo.
