Respect Your Body’s Signals

Pay attention.

Your body is always communicating—are you listening?



To pay attention is an understatement for a firefighter- My husband and son know all too well that being inattentive is dangerous for the lives of everyone involved and property they are trying to save.
I have only heard my husband raise his voice once- at a grass/field fire. I was at his parent's farm watching the scene unfold and I heard his voice - I turned to the person standing next to me and stated- "That was my husband- someone is NOT paying attention or listening for him to raise his voice".

What would change if you fully trusted your ability to get healthy?

OK full disclosure- Here I am with my girlriends, we rode our bikes for the first time together on Washington Island. Door County, WI. We had a blast- even though the plan was to ride only about 6-7 miles.

That's doable!

Well, we rode over 20 miles that day.

Could I trust my ability to get through to the ferry before it left?

Absolutely! I had my girlfriends encouraging me and my own determination to not miss the ferry! oh, the stories I could tell about the journey that day!

I took this picture of the sunrise while we ( girlfriends ) were on a trip together- As I look at this picutre- there are several things that are distracting from the beautiful sunset- the window, the trees, the car, the window frame--- to name a few.
