This week’s spotlight shines on our remarkable Adult Advisor, Emily Findlan! 🚑❤️

⏳ Years involved with Post:
2 years

🤝Why Emily joined Post:
“When I was about 6 or 7, my parents brought me to the Memorial Day parade where I saw the inside of an ambulance, and it sparked my love for healthcare! I eventually joined Post as an adult because I wanted to give back to the town that has done so much for me. I love interacting with the community!”

🚨Putting EMT skills into action:
“Yes! After being on a flight where there was a medical emergency, I relied on my EMT skills and knowledge to assess the situation and patient.”

💡 Most important thing Emily has learned at Post:
“The people who work here truly care about what they do- it’s incredibly inspiring. They also care about each other like family”

💬 Most memorable interaction with Posties:
“My first time being on call as a rider, many of the Posties were so helpful and supportive! I was so nervous, but they helped me through it.”

🤍 Emily’s favorite thing about Post:
“Anyone who walks into Post or is cared for by Post is greeted with kindness. Every teen inspires me every day with how much knowledge and effort they put into Post and school, it’s crazy how much I learn from them!”

Thank you, Emily, for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to both Post and the community. Your passion for giving back and supporting others makes such a lasting impact- we’re so lucky to have you! 💙🤩

This week’s spotlight shines on our newly elected Vice President of Finance, Jackson Philip! 🚑🥳

🩺 Jackson’s past offices and roles within Post:
Assistant to Exteriors, Buildings and Grounds Officer, Vice President of Finance

📚 One life lesson Jackson learned from Post:
“I would say the greatest life lesson I learned during my time in Post would be communication. Whether it is in leadership around the building or going on stressful calls where every second matters, learning to communicate with partners and crews is crucial.”

💪 Jackson describes Post in 3 words:
Family. Commitment. Accountability.

🚨 Favorite skill learned from Post:
“The most important skill I’ve learned from Post is staying calm under pressure. On calls where everything is moving fast and the situation is unpredictable, being able to slow things down mentally, focus on what matters, and make clear decisions is critical. It’s not just important for patient care, but it also helps your crew stay composed and work effectively as a team.”

🔔 Anything else from Jackson:
“Hey 8th graders, sign up for the First Aid Class!!”

Thank you, Jackson, for your commitment to Post 53 and for inspiring all of us! Keep up the great work! 💙
