Helping Families Become Happy, Healthy and Productive
I like to see people make positive changes and to essentially help themselves. Page Family Counseling came about when I was a nurse working on a psychiatric unit. I wanted to do more in this field because I saw that problems can be both medical and emotional. So here I am with two licenses - a bachelor of science in nursing with 40 years of experience and an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 25 years of practice. There are very few of us with this unique combination and I believe wholeheartedly that it makes me a better counselor. This dual approach allows me to see the patient from a comprehensive perspective. I co-manage my practice with an M.D. and see the person from both the medical and the emotional to make a more thorough diagnoses as an LPC.
I consult with individuals of all ages, 2 to 80 years old, as well as counseling the family as a whole. While I see patients with any issue, I specialize in ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Depression, Women’s Issues, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I excel at doing assessments and diagnosing emotional and related issues. Please see a full list of Life Issues, Metal Health Disorders and other issues I work with in the “Services” section of my page.
I am a National Board Certified Counselor and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, an International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition, I am academically trained and have the authority to assess and treat serious problems as determined by the State Board as well as certified to complete disability reports and assessments. Furthermore, I have taught college level psychiatric courses and have studied nutrition and exercise to promote with my patients in maintaining wellness. I serve on the advisory council at Rubicon and am a LPC Supervisor Candidate.
My goal is to see my patients healthy and productive. I am here to help you with ANYTHING that is preventing you from that state. My practice is solution focused and helps patients set clear realistic goals. I help you by looking at the big picture. So call me today and together we can make you or your family better!
