I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, GGS Certified Pre/Postnatal Fitness Coach, GGS Women's Coaching Specialist, and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I help clients feel better by focusing on their individual needs and goals by educating on how to develop realistic healthy lifestyle habits relating to food, fitness, and overall wellness. With me, I like to keep it simple by focusing on basic fitness and food practices, provide healthy recipes that are made with healthier ingredients (and still taste amazing!) and promote self care practices that help you feel at your best. The best thing you can do for your brain health is…...

Physical activity!

In just 5 minutes, you can improve your brain function, boosting cognitive performance. It can also enhance processing speed, executive function, and working memory - ever walked into a room and forgot why you walked in there? That’s your working memory trying to do it’s job!

Five minutes was enough to reap these benefits. Don’t think you have time to exercise? Everyone’s got 5 minutes. Fit in some exercise snacks throughout the day, 5 minutes is all you need!

-Jumping Jacks
-Bodyweight Squats
-Climb some stairs
-Perform some step ups
-Pushups
-Walk at a brisk pace for 5 minutes

The list goes on and on. Find a form of exercise you like and perform it at moderate to high intense levels for 5 minutes throughout the day and reap the benefits!

Some items you’ll find in my fridge/pantry!

The best part is that the peanut butter doesn’t require refrigeration, which most healthy peanut butters do, resulting in hard peanut butter and having to wait for it to soften a bit before using.

Chia smash is my new favorite spread for my guilty pleasure (toasted peanut butter and jelly)

Coconut kefir has been hard to come by until now! Fresh Thyme in Davenport has this now, so if you’re focusing on dairy free and want a good boost of probiotics, check out Kefirkult!

And finally, the one I’m most excited about…….Ice Cream For Bears! Regenerative, grass fed, and sweetened with ONLY raw honey. Only recently learned about it, so I haven’t tried it yet, but this is also at Fresh Thyme in Davenport!

BIG NEWS! Mama Bear Wellness is relocating! Beginning in May, I’ll be seeing clients in my new space at 2435 Kimberly Road in the North Building of the Alpine Center. In the meantime, renovations are underway and the studio is gonna look so refreshed, can’t wait for you all to see it!!

For the remainder of April, I’m still working with clients at my current location at Motherhood Matters, so if you are looking for a trainer who specializes in women’s health, especially prenatal/postpartum, I’m accepting new clients! New client consults are always free!

What if you knew you could lose at least a 1/2 pound a week if you walked 4,000 steps every day? At least 75% of the population is fairly sedentary and barely walks 2,000 steps. Pro tip: batch cook some veggies for the week (or at least the next few days) and try a variety of color! Best way to support your immune system is through the polyphenols that come from fruits and vegetables.

Currently sautƩing onion, garlic, fresh ginger, and red cabbage. Adding some spinach, kale, and swiss chard at the end with some salt and pepper!

Also batch cooking garlic herb chicken and green beans. Normally use asparagus but currently out, so easy swap!
