Quick update. I had to stop Zepbound due to severe puking about once every week or 2. I got down to 307. Inching back up a bit now. Looking into bariatric surgery, but I don't prefer the Trinity surgeon and the Genesis one just left and they don't know when they will get another. It's frustrating!

Well! I was finally able to get Zepbound some months ago. Finally got back down to where I was on my last weight post. Took 8 months of gains then loss. At 12.5 mg on my 6 th or so month of meds. Hoping it’s doing the job enough again that I can continue the loss. Sitting at 100 lb. Lots from highest weight and 80 lost from beginning weight loss meds.

Was trying to get Saxenda even though it was not as effective as the others. I figured, maybe it is for me. Wegovy didn't do much. Nothing else was approved by my insurance. Couldn't get it-backordered indefinitely. Now my insurance covers Zepbound!! Yay! It is Mounjaro re-branded. Now to get it approved.

Well, I'm still not super happy with how this is all going. I started Wegovy back around 8/4/2023. Got to the highest dose and had no weight loss with it. Stopped it 12/16/23 and began my last two months of Mounjaro since it had worked before. It was the next to highest dose for one month then the highest for the second. Still no scale movement. 2/10/23 I took the last dose of Mounjaro I had and cannot get more due to the new Zepbound being available but not on my insurance. (wasn't sure if I wanted to keep trying since I was only 2 months in on that ride) Now I'm on nothing. Dr. has a pre-auth approved for a lira-glutide called Sexenda. I will try it although it has less effectiveness in studies than the sema-glutides.

During my Wegovy days I did experience some loss of inches. That is something and did change what clothes I could wear.

I'm not as happy as I look, but I do feel better and can shop more places. We will see what happens next!

I’m past due for an update. Not sure what to say. I’m up 15 lbs. even though I’m on the next to highest dose of Wegovy. I’ve lost nothing since starting it. Mounjaro worked so much better for me, but besides having a blockage on it my insurance won’t cover it. We are trying another two months at the highest dose to see if I start to lose. Zepbound just got FDA approval. It is exactly the same medicine as Mounjaro, but marketed for weight loss instead of diabetes. I will try that when my insurance puts it on formulary. Please don’t suggest diet plans as I’m full aware of them all. I’m frustrated. Prayers would be good. Thanks for following my journey

Robby went shopping with me. 😆 I haven’t been to a real clothing store and tried stuff on since before Covid. I bought 3 outfits and a belt!

Well folks, I've had a rough week. But I'm down over 100 lbs. from my highest weight. Now it may creep back a bit because 1. I had a blockage that caused diarrhea the last 5 weeks with severe diarrhea since Thursday. 2. I am unsure which med I can continue on because of that. Probably have to start over with Wegovy.

Who knew diarrhea could mean a blockage?? Hoping it is almost over now as I feel much better tonight. Used protein water as my sustenance since Thursday. X-ray tomorrow to see.

Oh yeah! I climbed that huge sand dune last week! Never would have 100 lbs. ago.

Hit 50 lbs. today on Mounjaro. Finally! It’s taken a long time. But I also finally lost much of my appetite. Heavy weight 420. Mounjaro starting weight 392. Current weight 341.7.

It’s hard to explain but I feel like I almost look “normal” in these pants today.
When I told Robby he said, “What am I going to do? I’ll have to investigate this over and over!” HAHAHA.
