Yesterday at Sherard High School, Lane Luxmore donated blood in honor of his dad, BJ Luxmore, who lost his life while serving in Afghanistan when Lane was very young.

BJ's memory lives on at Sherrard High School in so many ways. The baseball field scoreboard is named after him, the school hosts a blood drive in his honor every year, and through the Bryant J. Luxmore Memorial Fund
