The Davenport Lutheran Home is a long term care facility specializing in all areas of elderly care. We provide respite, intermediate, and skilled care services. We have a Special Care Unit for dementia services, as well as Assisted Living Apartments and Independent Town Homes; so our residents can move throughout our continuum of care as their needs change.

Today our hearts were so full. ❤️
Harrison Elementary showed up for our residents in the most beautiful way—each class adopted a resident, and today our 3rd and 4th graders delivered their gifts with so much love. Our 2nd graders blessed us with a wonderful Christmas program that reminded us what this season is truly about.

God’s love was felt in every song, every smile, and every small act of kindness. We are so grateful for a community that pours into our residents and reminds them they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. This is Christmas. ✨🎄

We had the joy of welcoming the Our Savior Lutheran Church children’s program to share their full Christmas production with us here at the Davenport Lutheran Living Communities.

From shining angels to shepherds, kings, and the cutest little stable animals, these kids brought the Christmas story to life and filled our chapel with warmth, music, and pure holiday joy. 🎄💛

Seeing our residents smile, laugh, and soak in the magic of the season reminded us just how special these moments are.

It’s official — the Davenport Lutheran communities are fully decorated! ✨
Another year of ladders, tangled lights, glitter in places it shouldn’t be, and somehow… pure magic. 🎄💫

It’s such a joy to spread cheer and make our “home” feel warm, festive, and full of love for our residents, families, and staff. These halls hold so many stories — they deserve to shine!

Today we had the honor of welcoming Rudy, a Native American educator, to our community. He shared beautiful stories and teachings about the bald eagle—its strength, its spirit, and why it holds such a sacred place in Native culture. 🦅
Living here in the Midwest, we’re blessed that eagles travel through our area in the winter, and Rudy helped us see them with new appreciation and wonder.
Our residents asked the best questions, listened with open hearts, and loved getting a closer look at the feathers, traditions, and wisdom he shared.
It was a meaningful day—full of learning, connection, and gratitude.
