Empowering Abilities At Empowering Abilities, we support people with disabilities at home, at work and the community. Empowering Abilities helps people achieve those goals.

People with disabilities have the same fundamental rights and needs as everyone else. They want to be loved, to feel worthy, and to be part of their community. By being consumers, employees, taxpayers, and neighbors, Empowering Abilities participants achieve a sense of belonging. From the work they do, they experience pride and satisfaction for doing a job well and being rewarded by a paycheck. By living in the community, they learn what it's like to pay bills and how to be a responsible citizen and a good neighbor.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter with our participants.

Creative egg dyeing with plenty of smiles behind those bunny masks; it was a day filled with fun, connection, and meaningful moments. Thank you to our amazing, dedicated staff for supporting participants and helping create such a positive experience for everyone involved.

Thank you to everyone who supported the MLK Food Drive drive-through event at WQAD

We are incredibly grateful to the donors, volunteers, and community partners who came together to make this event a success. A special thank you to our Empowering Abilities participants and the QC Disabilities Awareness Coalition members who gave their time and energy to support the effort.

With this strong community response, donations help support 13 food pantries serving individuals and families across the Illinois and Iowa Quad Cities.
