St. Ambrose University Interprofessional Health Clinic The SAU clinic is a no-cost, student led interprofessional clinic meeting the needs of adults 18+ in our community who are unable to access healthcare! The St.

Ambrose University Interprofessional Health Clinic provides no cost physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social work services to those in need. Students from each discipline work together under the supervision of licensed professionals to provide these high quality, interprofessional rehabilitation services. We also work with clients to improve their overall health and wellness. Clients are seen by appointment only on Tuesdays from 3:30-7 pm.

This week, another tool and machine of the St. Ambrose University Interprofessional Health Clinic is being shown and explained!
The LiteGait Body Weight:
This piece of equipment is called a LiteGait. This helps the patient stand upright with good alignment while walking on the treadmill. The harness is there for stability as well. For example, if someone were to lose their balance, the harness would catch them. This device is helpful for gaining independence and cardiovascular health.
