✨ Welcome Shannon McNeal to the team! ✨

Shannon is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University and brings a thoughtful, integrative approach to her work. She’s especially passionate about supporting emerging adults and anyone navigating life transitions, growth, or mental health challenges.

She offers a warm, affirming space where clients feel heard and supported—and is now accepting adult clients in our Davenport office or via telehealth (IA & IL).

💛 Shannon offers free and reduced-cost therapy. Suggested rate is $25/session, but pay what you can—no one will be turned away for inability to pay. As a graduate student, Shannon is best suited to see clients with mild to moderate symptoms.

Today, a group of our clinicians gathered in the Quad City Psychotherapy conference room to create vision boards for 2026.

Vision boards aren’t about “manifesting” in a magical sense — they’re about clarifying values, goals, and direction. When we externalize our intentions visually, we engage multiple parts of the brain: attention, emotion, and motivation. This makes our goals more salient, more memorable, and easier to act on over time.

In a field where we spend so much energy holding space for others, it felt meaningful to pause and ask ourselves:
What do we want to be growing toward?
What kind of clinicians, colleagues, and humans do we want to be?

Grateful for a team that values reflection, creativity, and intentional growth — for ourselves and for the people we serve. 💛

Join me this Sunday for Rooted & Resilient: A Sound Healing Experience at Quad City Psychotherapy, PLLC!

This event is especially meaningful to me. I’ve been a client here for quite some time, and the growth I’ve experienced in this space has been life-changing. It’s where I learned to cope with grief after losing my sister-in-law. It’s where I discovered how much I had been people-pleasing. And it’s also where I faced the burnout I carried from years in healthcare and realized my soul was ready for something new.

In many ways, this is one of the places where Uplifted Energies was born.

I would be so honored to share this sound bath with you in a space that has held so much of my own healing.
