🎉 Vera French is proud to announce our Courage and Compassion Award recipients for 2025 – Lynne Miller and Randy Bolton, LISW!

The Courage and Compassion Award honors Vera French staff members who have made a significant contribution to improve conditions for people with mental health challenges in our community.

Lynne Miller- Lynne has been with Vera French for 15 years and has served many roles from Recreation Therapy Supervisor to Staff Trainer and Burnout Prevention Specialist. She goes above and beyond to support residents and staff—teaching skills for independence, mentoring new team members, and volunteering whenever needed. Her dedication ensures clients receive the best care and staff feel supported.

Randy Bolton, LISW- Randy has been with Vera French for 20+ years and has been a trusted therapist since the very beginning, building lasting relationships with clients, families, and community partners. Known for his respect, kindness, and humor, Randy provides stability and unwavering support that improves lives every day. His commitment to compassionate care makes him an invaluable part of our team.

This fall, the Regional Development Authority proudly invested $2,278,448 across 69 grant awards to organizations serving the Quad Cities region. Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Rhythm City Casino, these awards include General Grants, Multi-Cycle Grants, three new Transformational Initiatives, and Emergency Grants—supporting economic development, arts & culture, human services, and education throughout Scott County and the greater Quad Cities.
