Our very own, CEO, Dr. Richard Whitaker went on KWQC’s Midday Medical to talk about how Vera French psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners have received training to provide Medication Assisted Treatment using the medication called Suboxone to prevent dangerous withdrawal symptoms and help people quit using opioid painkillers and opiates like he**in.

Grantee Spotlight: Vera French Community Mental Health Center

RDA granted Vera French funding to help bring Carol's Village Gardens to life, creating 30 supportive housing units for Davenport residents with the greatest need. This investment ensured construction could move forward despite a temporary funding gap, providing homes for families who might otherwise have no safe, stable place to live. Carol’s Village Gardens not only addresses the critical shortage of extremely low-income housing but also demonstrates how community-focused, mission-driven development can improve lives and strengthen the Quad Cities community.
