We’re Celebrating a Big Milestone!🎉🙌💜

We are proud to announce that Ashley Digman, our Director of Human Resources and Provider Relations, has officially been appointed to the Iowa Healthcare Leaders Association (IHLA) Board of Directors! Her three-year term (2026–2028) was formally announced at the IHLA Annual Business Meeting on September 11th during the Fall Conference.

Ashley’s leadership continues to elevate our practice, and this new role allows her to contribute to healthcare leadership at the state level, while also bringing back fresh insights, best practices, and connections that benefit our team and our patients every day.

With over a decade of experience in healthcare management, including previous roles with Genesis Health System, Ashley has played a key role in strengthening provider relations, growing our organization, and enhancing operations. She’s been an active IHLA member for more than 10 years, supporting professional development, mentorship, and leadership excellence throughout Iowa.

We’re incredibly proud of her continued impact, both within our walls and beyond them. Congratulations, Ashley!💜

We were proud to participate in the 2025 Russell Co Gives Golf Outing in support of the MercyOne Genesis Foundation and their mission to expand the Level III NICU right here in the Quad Cities. 🏥👶

Access to specialized newborn care close to home is something we’re deeply passionate about and we’re honored to stand behind this initiative that will make a life-saving difference for families in our community.

Join us for the 2025 Quad Cities Promise Walk for Preeclampsia!
Scott County Health Department

We want to walk together to bring awareness to, and support families impacted by, preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a serious high blood pressure condition that occurs during pregnancy. It can cause major health concerns for the mother and the baby.

📌 Event Info:
What: 2025 Quad Cities Promise Walk for Preeclampsia
When: Saturday, September 13, 2025, 10 AM – 12 PM (registration/check-in starts at 9:30 AM)
Where: Vander Veer Park, 215 W Central Park Avenue, Davenport (meet at the south fountain across from St. Paul Lutheran Church)
Who: Open to the public – families, individuals, and teams welcome
Why: To raise awareness and support for preeclampsia

• Hear guest speakers, including a midwife and a local mom who had preeclampsia
• Remember loved ones affected by preeclampsia
• Walk a lap around Vander Veer as a group
• Visit with vendors and enjoy the park

Prenatal visits may be brief, but they’re still a vital part of your pregnancy journey!

Bringing your partner or labor coach along can be incredibly helpful. A second set of eyes and ears can catch important details, ask questions, and offer support. It’s also a meaningful way for them to feel involved right from the start.

💜While they may not be able to attend every visit, there are key appointments where their presence can make a big difference. Don’t hesitate to bring them along!

Why Alyssa Chose a Career in Healthcare💜

Alyssa is one of our amazing CNAs here at the Group! Before joining us, Alyssa worked (and still works!) at Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. Her passion for caring for others and her dream of making a difference in people’s lives is what led her to healthcare, and we’re so lucky to have her on our team!

💬 “My greatest influence growing up was my amazing mom. She’s the most loving, devoted, and hardworking woman I know!” 💕

When she’s not caring for patients, you can find Alyssa soaking up the outdoors, reading, or spending time with her puppies. She’s also an avid traveler, concert-goer, and she’s even run two marathons! 🏃‍♀️

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month🩵
Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed in its later stages because early symptoms can be subtle and easily overlooked. Recognizing the signs and understanding your risk can save lives. The earlier ovarian cancer is detected and treated, the better the outcome.

🔍 Know the Risk Factors:
▪️All women are at risk
▪️Family or personal history of ovarian, breast, or colon cancer
▪️Genetic predisposition
▪️Increasing age
▪️Infertility
▪️Vague but persistent symptoms (bloating, pelvic pain, frequent urination, etc.)
▪️Important: A Pap test does NOT detect ovarian cancer — it screens for cervical cancer.

Available Tests for High-Risk Women:
▪️Pelvic exam
▪️Transvaginal ultrasound
▪️CA-125 blood test

While there's no routine screening for ovarian cancer, staying informed and proactive can make all the difference.
