Our Story

Dynamic Orthopedics was founded by Shubert and Melisa Chang in June 2002. Shubert was 15 when he lost his leg below the knee after a motorcycle accident and he grew up going to the CMS clinic. He then wanted learn to make his own prosthesis so he became a Prosthetist Orthotist. Melisa was 19 when she lost her leg below the knee after a motorcycle accident. She then became a Physical Therapist. While in college they met and later married. Their youthful desires to rehab others turned into a passion to open a business.

The specialty of pediatrics has brought many young kids through the doors over the years and as those children grew, strong relationships were developed with families year after year. Adults were also seen both for orthotics and prosthetic care as well. No matter the age, the care and quality of the staff is memorable.

In 2015, one of our founders, Shubert Chang, passed away and our community that had depended on his care was devastated. He had been a pillar that had provided care for kids for so many years. Yet the resiliency of Melisa Chang to continue in his legacy has carried Dynamic onward. She has stayed at the helm of Dynamic Orthopedics and although the practitioners have changed, the same quality and compassion continues to reside here.
