Salubrious Psychological Services

Salubrious Psychological Services Hello! I am Ime Ekong, owner of Salubrious Psychological Services. Dr. Ime Ekong is a licensed clinical psychologist with 13 years of therapy experience.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. During her doctoral program, Dr. Ekong received training across various different agencies and patient populations, including an outpatient psychological assessment center, an inpatient psychiatric unit, and community mental health center and an outpatient behavioral health center. As a post-doctoral resident, Dr. Ekong received extensive training in health psychology. Prior to independent practice, Dr. Ekong provided services to patients in the trauma, solid organ transplant, general medical, and neurosurgery departments, including completion of biopsychosocial assessments, neuropsychological screenings, and psychological evaluations. She also provided psycho-education and supportive therapy to patients and families. Within her private practice, Dr. Ekong works with adults of all ages. She believes in the importance of individualized and holistic care. Psychological treatment first begins with clearly understanding and identifying the clients’ goals and establishing a treatment plan based on those individualized goals. She respects the unique aspects of every person she treats and recognizes that no one treatment will work for every person. As such, her therapeutic approach includes collaborating with clients to establish a plan of care which best suits their needs. She utilizes evidence-based practices, including Cognitive-behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques to address a wide array of client issues. Her client base includes individuals with chronic medical conditions, depression, anxiety, bereavement concerns, and stage of life issues.
