A little Friday reminder for you 👇🏻

Healing is not a race, it's a ✨ journey ✨

Taking care of your mental health is a lifelong journey, not a destination. It's okay to take your time, to rest when you need it, and to seek support when things get tough.

Remember, healing is not linear, and that's okay!

Every step counts, no matter how small. Be patient with yourself and learn to trust the process 🦋

As a relational therapist, I've seen time and time again how experiencing what doesn't work for us can be a powerful catalyst for personal growth and self-discovery.

Whether it's in relationships, career choices, or personal habits, recognizing what doesn't serve us is the first step towards finding what does!

Here are some tips to help you navigate this journey of self-discovery:

✨ First, pay attention to your emotions. If something consistently leaves you feeling drained, unhappy, or unfulfilled, it might be a sign that it's not right for you.

✨ Second, reflect on past experiences. What patterns or behaviors have led to negative outcomes? Identifying these can provide valuable insights into what you should avoid in the future.

✨ And finally, don't be afraid to experiment and try new things! Sometimes, it's only through trial and error that we truly learn what aligns with our values, desires, and goals.

Ever wondered about the fine line between co-dependence and independence in relationships? 🤔

Let's break it down 👇🏻

👉🏻 Co-dependence often involves relying heavily on your partner for emotional support, validation, and decision-making, to the point where your own identity feels intertwined with theirs.

👉🏻 On the other hand, independence means maintaining a healthy sense of self, pursuing personal goals, and having the freedom to make choices without feeling overly reliant on your partner."

It's SO EASY to fall into patterns without even realizing it. Are you constantly seeking approval or validation from your partner? Do you feel anxious or incomplete when they're not around? These could be signs of co-dependence... But remember, there's no shame in acknowledging it!

Ultimately, finding the right balance between co-dependence and independence is key to fostering a strong and resilient relationship. Take moments to check in with yourself, prioritize self-care, and nurture your own interests and goals. Remember, a healthy relationship starts with a healthy you 🤍

Your wording matters!

Acknowledging when you may be complaining to your partner is crucial for maintaining a healthy and constructive relationship. Complaining can often lead to negativity and resentment, creating a cycle of dissatisfaction that can strain the bond between partners.

Using "I" statements instead of complaining can create healthier communication by promoting ownership and accountability for your feelings and experiences.

This approach encourages things like:
💫 open dialogue
💫 mutual respect
💫 collaboration

in finding solutions to issues or conflicts, ultimately strengthening the connection between partners!

By focusing on expressing yourself authentically and constructively, you can cultivate a more positive and fulfilling relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual support!

Begin your week with purpose ✨

We all know the power of setting intentions, but have you thought about taking the time to repeat affirmations for your mental well-being?

By starting the week with affirmations, we pave the way for positivity, growth, and self-care 😌

Which affirmation is resonating with you the most today?

Would you agree??

Taking the time to work on yourself is truly the best 'job' ever. It's all about discovering who you are, growing, and feeling empowered. When you look within and think about things, you get to know your strengths, weaknesses, and dreams better.

This leads to being more self-aware and authentic ✨

When you invest in your personal growth, you become stronger and can handle anything that comes your way. Life's challenges are easier to handle and you can bounce back from any setbacks.

Improving yourself not only makes you feel amazing, but it also has a positive impact on your relationships. Plus, it inspires others to go on their own journeys of growth and change!

I'd love to hear your take on this, feel free to share in the comments 💭

Do you want to know why I became a therapist? ✨

It all started when I was just a little girl... lol no but really, this little girl was scared and confused about what was going on around her.

My parents were going through major conflict and as a result, I was "acting out" and being "rebellious". Luckily, my mom caught on to how the family dysfunction was impacting me and decided that therapy was the outlet I needed.

Momentum picked up from there. I felt seen. Someone was giving their unbiased, uninterrupted attention towards me. How my therapist held space for me helped me put things into perspective and relieved me from any blame that my inner child was picking up.

From that point on, holding space for my loved ones became a passion of mine. Sharing tools became a pastime of mine and as I grew older I realized that I could actually do this thing I loved, for a living! Win-win! 👏

So I went from giving my best friends couples therapy, to now having an energetically beautiful space, to professionally helping couples, and individuals as well, to evolve into their higher selves.

I am blessed beyond belief to do the work that I do and to gain the trust of so many. It is truly an honor to be a therapist and to witness the growth of so many. 🥰
