Yoga (asana) is a sneaky thing..๐
You think youโre in class sweating, stretching, getting strong, and working out.
But really, you are cleansing, creating space, grounding, solidifying and working in!
The physical part, thatโs the easy part, how many times have I said that in class? Itโs because itโs what I say to myself while Iโm practicing.
When Iโm in the hardest pose, or class, sweat dripping in my eyes, heart pounding, muscles twitching and burning, I think to myself, this is nothing, Iโve been through harder things. I just have to breathe, stay clam, stay focused, do my best (Iโm not gonna die ๐)
The truth is that as we hold the pose and work through the class, we get strong in our body (which is an awesome bonus) but the real work, is how strong we are getting in the mind. In those most difficult and challenging moments in class, weโre training our brain for the real work, off the mat, for the moments in LIFE when we need to be strong ๐ช๐ผ
Itโs in the struggle that we make the most change.
When stuff is hard, find the good.
