Focus on:
• Slowing down and truly resting
• Relaxing and limiting activity
• Icing the surgical area as directed to help manage swelling
• Staying hydrated, nourished, and comfortable

• Giving yourself plenty of TLC (this part matters)

Scalloped edges after l***aplasty can occur for several reasons—such as using too large a suture, sutures being tied too tightly, or swelling not being properly managed during the healing process. Everyone’s tissue responds differently, and these factors can affect how the edges heal and settle.

It’s also important to note that there’s a difference between true scalloping and the natural folds or ridges that many l***a normally have. Not every contour change is a complication—sometimes it’s simply normal anatomy.

In select cases, a revision procedure can help smooth the edges and restore a more natural contour, improving both comfort and appearance.
