The City of Davis is supporting local businesses with this amazing stimulus package. Buy a gift certificate Friday after 3 pm and the business of your choice will get a matching amount. Who would like a massage?!?!!

The Davis Downtown Business Association (DDBA) and Greiner Heating, Air & Solar have some very exciting news! The DDBA is REOPENING its Gifting Stimulus Program on Friday, May 8th @ 3:00pm!

Our program aims to infuse an ADDITIONAL $50,000 into downtown Davis businesses (the first round reached over $130,000). As up to $25,000 of gift cards/certificates are purchased through the program, an additional $25,000 will be donated as stimulus money to our downtown businesses. This campaign is designed to support businesses right now and in real time during shelter in place, and our downtown needs you now more than ever!

How the stimulus program works:
Go to the program portal at www.davisdowntown.com/stimulus-program/

1.) When the portal opens at 3:00pm Friday, May 8th, you will be able to choose a participating business from a dropdown menu that you want to support and make a purchase of gift cards/certificates. You will have the option of gift value and quantity.

2.) Once you purchase gift cards/certificates through the portal, they will be sent to you by the business.

3.) Businesses will receive the money for your gift card/certificate purchases plus a match, dollar for dollar, as stimulus money (up to $25,000). For example, if you purchase a $50 gift card for your favorite downtown business, you will receive the $50 gift card and that business will receive $100 (the $50 gift card purchase value + $50 stimulus donation match).

4.) Each Davis Downtown member business is eligible to receive up to $1,000 in matched stimulus funds for the duration of the program. If a business already reached its stimulus cap in the first round of the GSP, they will not be eligible to participate in the second round. There are still dozens of businesses eligible to benefit from this program that didn’t hit their stimulus fund cap during the first round, and MANY MORE are still signing up that initially missed out!

IMPORTANT: Gift cards/certificates MUST be purchased directly through the DDBA's website portal at www.davisdowntown.com/stimulus-program/ for the respective business to receive the matching donation.

WE ARE CHALLENGING ANOTHER COMPANY that loves our small businesses in downtown Davis to come forward and donate an additional $10,000, which would allow our Gifting Stimulus Program to infuse over $200,000 to our merchants as a whole!
