If you’re serious about putting your Hashimoto’s into remission…this matters 👇

Hi, I’m Melissa — Certified Nutrition Specialist, Licensed Dietitian, and Hashimoto’s & thyroid coach 🤍
And yes…my Hashimoto’s has been in remission for 5+ years.

These aren’t random “healthy habits”…
They’re strategic, nervous system + metabolism-supporting habits that set the tone for your entire day.

Here are 5 things I do every single morning to support my thyroid:

✨ Warm lemon water → supports digestion + liver function
✨ Red light therapy over my thyroid → supports cellular energy + healing
✨ Morning sunlight → regulates circadian rhythm + cortisol balance
✨ 30g protein breakfast within 1 hour → stabilizes blood sugar + supports thyroid hormones
✨ 10-minute walk after eating → improves glucose response + reduces inflammation

This is the kind of foundation most women with Hashimoto’s are missing.

I’m so passionate about helping women get to the root cause and actually put their Hashimoto’s into remission — not just “manage symptoms.”

April Non-Toxic Empties 🧼✨

Follow me to see my empties every month + shop my favorites here (on Amazon):
https://www.amazon.com/shop/missyknutrition/list/1HGNS2L0XAYWJ?ref_=aipsflist

If you have Hashimoto’s, going “non-toxic” isn’t about being perfect… it’s about lowering your total toxic load so your immune system isn’t constantly being triggered.

Because Hashimoto’s isn’t just a thyroid issue — it’s an immune system issue. And the products you use every single day (soap, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, makeup) can either support your body… or add more stress to it.

Here’s what I used up this month and would 100% repurchase:

• Everyone Soap
• Grow Fragrance Spray
• Truly Free Laundry Soap + Fabric Softener
• Blueland Dishwasher Tabs
• Good Clean Love Feminine Wash
• Boka Whitening Toothpaste
• ILIA Mascara
• Beekeeper’s Naturals Propolis Throat Spray

You don’t have to swap everything overnight — but small changes like this add up in a big way when it comes to inflammation + hormone health.

Follow along for next month’s empties + more Hashimoto’s tips 🩷🦋🩷

Sometimes the most supportive thing I can do is tell you what you need to hear—not just what you want to hear.

So here it is—

“Mostly gluten-free” isn’t really a thing. It’s either in or it’s out. If you want real answers from your body, commit fully and see what happens.

Waiting for the “right time” is just your brain trying to keep you comfortable. It’s rarely going to feel perfect—start anyway.

You can take all the supplements in the world, but they won’t outwork poor sleep, missed meals, chronic stress, or self-doubt.

Having thyroid disease isn’t something you chose—but taking ownership of your healing is. No one else can do that part for you.

Some days will feel hard. That doesn’t mean you’re off track. Even showing up at 1% still counts—just don’t stop.

When you say “I’ve tried everything,” it often means you’ve tried what felt easiest or safest—not everything that could actually move the needle.

Constantly jumping from one plan to the next keeps your body stuck. Healing needs consistency more than it needs perfection.

Your body isn’t working against you—it’s reacting to what it’s been through. Shift from judgment to curiosity.

Skipping meals or running on caffeine all morning sends your body the wrong message. Safety starts with nourishment.

You don’t have to overhaul your entire life overnight. Start with one small shift, stay consistent, and build from there.

If you’re looking for real guidance, education, and support that actually helps you feel better—give me a follow. 🦋🩷🦋

“Acid reflux = too much stomach acid”… right? 👀
Not always.

As a Hashimoto’s dietitian, I see this all the time 👇🏻
Low stomach acid is extremely common—and often treated the wrong way.

Here’s the twist:
You can have acid reflux and still have LOW stomach acid.

🚩 Signs it might be low, not high:
• Bloating or feeling heavy after meals
• Getting full really quickly
• Excess burping after eating
• Undigested food in your stool
• Reflux that’s worse later in the day or after big meals

When stomach acid is too low, food just sits there… fermenting → gas, pressure, and that burning feeling.

✨ What actually helps:
• Slow down when you eat
• Chew your food thoroughly
• Eat in a calm, relaxed state
• Cut back on ultra-processed foods
• Try diluted apple cider vinegar before meals
• Consider HCL support (when appropriate)

This is one of the biggest missing pieces I address inside my 16-week program, The Thyroid Balance Blueprint 🫶🏼
