On December 18, 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the second vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The emergency use authorization allows the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to be distributed in the U.S for use in individuals 18 years of age and older.

As we work together to reach herd immunity to allow us to return to more normal activities, we now have Modena COVID -19 Vaccine in stock for patients, as well as patients’ family and friends . If you would like to have the vaccine please contact the office at 770-709-6922 or through the patient portal to schedule an appointment.

Her medical interests include Women’s Health, Preventative Care, management and patient education of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. We are so happy to share with you that we celebrated our 7th anniversary on April 1st! Dr. Zarandy, our resident craft and creative arts Queen, created this beautiful cake. We are so thankful to all of the people who have supported our practice, so proud of the care we have been able to provide for our patients and members of our community, and so grateful to our staff and fellow PMC family members. Our goal is to continue to contribute to the health and wellness of each and every person we come in contact with.

We are pleased to announce the addition of Abiramasundari Senthivel, MD to our Pandya Medical Center family. Dr Abi, as she is affectionately referred to by many loyal patients, will be practicing out of our Dawsonville location.

She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Board Certified in Obesity Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated medical school from Stanley Medical College, India. She believes in WHO’s definition of health - “ a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease”.

Dr. Senthivel’s professional interests include weight management, preventive medicine, women’s health, diabetes, hypertension and mental health. She focuses on whole mind and body wellness, rather than treating individual disease entities. She is an advocate of healthy living and believes that health can be achieved by incorporating integrative and preventive medicine along with evidence based mainstream medicine.

Dr Senthivel currently lives in Cu***ng with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys yoga, traveling, painting, reading and spending time with her family.
