Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner 🧡

Join Rotary Club of Dawson County for a warm meal and even warmer company!

The Rotary Club of Dawson County invites everyone to their Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday, November 24, from 5–7 PM. Either sit down and enjoy your meal or go through the drive thru for pick up. Veterans Memorial Park, Hwy 9 North, Dawsonville, GA.

Bring your family, friends, and neighbors — all are welcome! Let’s come together to give thanks and share in the spirit of community.

Para ayudar durante este tiempo, Georgia Mountain Food Bank está recolectando donaciones de alimentos de emergencia para apoyar a quienes más lo necesitan.

📢 COMMUNITY NOTICE: FOOD DRIVE & EBT ASSISTANCE UPDATE 🍎

Due to a temporary halt in SNAP/EBT assistance, many families in our community are facing challenges accessing food. To help during this time, Georgia Mountain Food Bank is collecting emergency food donations to support those in need.

If you or someone you know would like to help, please consider donating any of the following items:
🥫 Canned fruit (no sugar added)
🥜 Peanut butter
🍇 Jelly (low sugar)
🍝 Canned meals (like Chef Boyardee)
🐟 Canned meat (chicken, tuna, etc.)
🍅 Canned spaghetti sauce
🥣 Cereal (low sugar)
🌾 Oatmeal
🥕 Canned vegetables (low sodium)
🍚 Brown rice
🌽 Whole grain pasta
🫘 Black beans

You can complete your eligibility screening on the same day — it’s quick and easy!

Eligibility Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Live or work in Dawson County
• Do not have medical insurance

Dawson County Emergency Services is offering a CPR training this Tuesday, October 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Station 2 (145 Liberty Drive, Dawsonville, GA).
