Join us for Hidden Handstands of The Sun Salutations with Ross Stambaugh on Saturday February 21st 2-4pm.

This workshop is for handstand lovers or those that wish to develop a handstand practice as a part of their yoga regimen. Ross will guide you through a mix of drills and skills as the main focus. To participate students should feel comfortable completing sun salutations, feel stable in upper body weight bearing, and should be practicing on a regular basis.

Ready to take your practice beyond the postures? Join Ross for (both?) his workshops the weekend of February 21st to learn more about the practice of yoga.

On Saturday Ross will be hosting Yogis Helping Yogis workshop. He will cover how to manage a room with students of various skill levels, understand proper etiquette, how and when to use props, hands-on assists, and the complexities of running an asana class. This workshop is for yoga teachers or students who aim to start teaching.

One back on Sunday for Pranayama: The Breath of Yoga workshop. Ross will facilitate a discussion about theory, followed by 6 traditional pranayama techniques, chanting, anatomical alignment, and more. If you are ready to bridge the gap between asana and start an independent pranayama (yogic breathing) practice, save your spot now!

M’Le has put together the perfect Starter Series to get you comfortable with a yoga practice. This informative 4-week class series is meant for true beginners who are looking to start from scratch, learn the basics, and become confident in their movement practice. Here you will move slowly to gain understanding of the most foundational poses and breathing methods, which will help get you ready to attend any of our regularly scheduled drop in classes! We encourage you to attend all 4 classes as this is a progressive series.

Ross is back! He is a Dayton native who is spending a weekend with us at Speakeasy. As an authorized level 2 teacher with a deep study of the ashtanga yoga parampara (tradition), and has years of experience teaching internationally, Ross has 6 different offerings starting February 21st for you to expand your yoga practice.

To kick things off, Ross will be guiding you through the Ashtanga Primary Series, also called "Yoga Chikitsa" (Yoga Therapy). This practice is the foundational, sequential series of postures in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, designed to build internal heat, purify the body, increase strength, flexibility, and stamina along with many other benefits to the mind, body, and spirit.

Then, you can join Ross for a non-dogmatic, all levels appropriate, mini session of pranayama techniques + traditional Sanskrit chanting. Pranayama is a yogic practice of breath control, combining the Sanskrit words prana (life force/energy) and yama (control/extension) to regulate the breath for physical and mental well-being, acting as a key limb in yoga and a preparatory step for meditation.
