Our Montessori Memory Care neighborhood had a lot to celebrate this summer! Residents got to plan and throw Mariah, one of our activity assistants, a Baby Shower! A lovely day- reminiscing about babies of their own. Some residents brought their own therapy baby dolls of course- the more the merrier! We also played a baby naming game together.

In order for this to be successful, a few members of the Resident Helping Hands Committee went shopping for gifts and decor, while others carefully wrapped the gifts together. Everyone had a hand in helping this party to be a great success!

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a deficiency-free survey from the Ohio Department of Health!

A deficiency-free survey means state surveyors found zero deficiencies and confirmed that we are meeting or exceeding all state requirements for care, services, and environment. This is our second year in a row achieving this milestone.

This achievement reflects our commitment to providing exceptional care and a vibrant lifestyle for our dear residents! Every day our entire dedicated team of employees work tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming environment where our residents can thrive.

Our thanks to Shelley, Montessori Memory Care Assistant, for sharing homemade peach jam with our residents today. Today was a magical day for our community, thanks to one of our fantastic partnerships. Alex, our social worker from Day City Hospice, introduced our residents to her delightful miniature horse, Petunia.

Petunia brought back fond memories for many residents who reminisced growing up on a farm. This visit will be a cherished memory for our residents, discussed for days and weeks to come.

Thanks to Alex, and Chris, our Hospice Chaplain for making our morning so unforgettable!

We are sincerely thankful for our partnership with Day City Hospice for all the love and support they show our community!

Our Resident Outings Committee met recently to decide on a lunch location.

Rich, one of our residents, at 95 years young mentioned that he had never been to Olive Garden and was eager to try it. We were happy to share this experience with him today. A fun reminder that it is never too late to try something new!

Residents have also nicknamed our vehicle the 'Fairmont Party Bus,' which can often be seen around town- so feel free to wave at the Fairmont Party Bus next time you see us!

This past spring, our residents organized and hosted a community yard sale with all of the proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association for Team Fairmont’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s!
We are happy to report that we raised over $700 in just one day!!
We are just getting started in our fundraising campaign, so stay tuned for more projects coming from our very own residents!
