Ohio House Bill 447 would raise noneconomic (pain-and-suffering) damage caps and permanently tie them to annual inflation increases.

Ohio has seen what instability looks like before — rising malpractice premiums, carriers leaving the market, and challenges recruiting physicians, especially in high-risk specialties and underserved communities.

Predictability matters. Stability matters. Access to care matters.

MCMS has joined a statewide coalition opposing HB 447.
