Mindset is everything. 🧠

I know this might sound a little woo-woo… but your body hears every thought you think and every word you say about yourself.

Especially when you’re standing in front of the mirror. 🪞

This video is such a small example, but look closely:

Top frame… I’m analyzing.
Looking for flaws.
Furrowing my brow.
Pointing out everything I don’t love.

And you can see it on my face.

Bottom frame… I’m caring for my skin.
Massaging. Slowing down.
Thinking differently.

Same face. Same day. Same lighting.

Completely different energy.

When I approach myself with stress, frustration, or criticism… my face tightens. My expression hardens. I literally look less at peace.

But when I approach myself with care…
when I see myself as someone worth taking care of…

My face softens. My eyes change. I look like the best version of myself.

Nothing about my skin changed. It was all a mindset shift.

So this is your reminder today:

Reframe the way you talk to yourself.
Reframe your thoughts when you look in the mirror.

At some point you just have to laugh and keep doing your thing.

If I listened to everything I’m told to do I would be a confused and mixed up mess.

Watch till the end… it just might change your life.

Listen, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
It doesn’t have to be 100% of the time.

But you do have to show up for yourself.

This is one of my favorite little hacks.

After I finish my skincare, I’ll apply a thin layer of castor oil before putting my Frownies on… and it helps them stick down SO well.

If you’ve ever struggled with getting a strong hold, especially overnight, this can make a big difference.

And beyond the “stick” factor, castor oil is actually amazing for your skin:

• Deeply hydrating and helps lock in moisture
• Supports the skin barrier
• Gives that soft, plump look
• Rich in fatty acids that help condition the skin

Apply your usual skincare then use a thin layer of castor oil on top… you don’t need much.

It’s one of those simple tweaks that can upgrade your routine without adding extra steps.

I would love for you to weigh in on this in the comments…..I feel like social media has slowly shifted what we think is normal.

And I catch myself in the comparison game, too.

Seeing the perfectly clean homes, the perfect skin, the outfits, the routines… and for a second thinking, wait… am I doing enough?

And then I look around my actual life.

➡️There are dishes in my sink.
➡️My kids are loud and chaotic.
➡️Some days I get in a great workout and some days I just get in a quick walk.
➡️Sometimes my skin looks great, sometimes it’s freaking out.
➡️And yes… I’ve absolutely looked at a photo and thought “ugh why does my leg look like that in the lighting.”

✅That’s real life.

Not the curated, filtered, best-angle version. Just… life.

I think the problem isn’t that our lives don’t measure up.
It’s that we’re comparing them to something that was never meant to be a full picture.

So if you’ve been feeling like you’re behind, or not doing enough, or like everyone else has it more together…

you’re not.

You’re just seeing your whole life and comparing it to someone else’s highlight reel.
