“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a blanket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” Matthew 5:14-16. We don’t say goodbye; we simply say ‘see you again soon.’ We’ve created new memories, formed new friendships, and spent countless hours with old friends, all while restoring sight to nearly 100 blind individuals of Jamaica. We leave behind our families, homes, and pets to travel around the world, driven by our calling to help others see— and we are truly blessed to do so. A heartfelt thank you to Professional Eye Care Jamaica, Dr. Doug McCloy and his amazing team for hosting us yet again. We’re also deeply grateful to both our Jamaican national surgical team and the Stahl Vision mission team for their tireless dedication, working long hours every day.
