We love to spotlight new members! Welcome Carlina Figueroa!

Carlina is the Director of Human Resources at Daybreak. Having been in HR for almost 20 years, she loves that she gets to support employees in their careers and help build workplace cultures.

Originally from Virginia, Carlina moved to Dayton nine years ago. She and her husband, William, have a three-year-old son, Parker. Carlina enjoys trying new recipes and restaurants, attending community events such as the Hispanic Festival and Celtic Fest, and a good workout at Rinse Cycle!

Carlina’s three-year-old son has been a Dayton Children’s patient since birth, after being diagnosed with Auditory Neuropathy in one ear. She shares, “The care he has received from the doctors and staff at Dayton Children’s has been incredible. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication, compassion, and expertise their teams bring to every child and family. I’m proud to serve on the Women’s Board as my way of giving back to those who give so much to our community. It’s not just about gratitude—it’s about ensuring every child has access to the same high-quality healthcare that my son has received.”

Next up, it's time to welcome Lauren Slattery!

Lauren is the proud mom to three wonderful children and a puppy! She and her husband love to navigate the happy chaos they all bring! Lauren enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, reading, and supporting her kids at their many sporting events.

Lauren spent five meaningful years working at Dayton Children’s before taking the opportunity to stay at home with her young kids. After stepping away, Dayton Children’s has remained close to her heart. As a parent, she says she has experienced firsthand the exceptional care and compassion the hospital provides to both the patient, and the family as a whole.

"I believe every child deserves that level of care, and every parent deserves the peace of mind that comes with it. I’m honored and excited to join the board, and I look forward to giving back to an organization and community that means so much to me."

We are happy to welcome Cameron Eggers to the Women’s Board!

Cameron is the Retail Cash Systems Manager at Wright-Patt Credit Union, where she oversees ATM operations and cash management.

She and her husband, Evan, have been married six years and are the proud parents of two children—Evelyn (3) and Auggie (1). As a family, they love spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Cameron is also an avid reader.

Dayton Children’s holds a special place in her heart. Their trusted pediatrician is part of the Dayton Children’s network, and the care team has gone above and beyond to support their family multiple times. “Their commitment to our children’s health and well-being has made a lasting impact, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else with their care. It’s an honor to give back to an organization that has already given so much to us.”

Join us in welcoming new member Hannah Myhre-Gaskill!

Hannah is a Financial Advisor with a practice based in Ohio, serving clients across the country. She is also the co-founder of empower.ology, a Dayton-based group dedicated to promoting personal, professional, and financial wellness for women. Originally from California, Hannah has called Dayton home for the past eight years, earning her MBA from Wright State University.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys time with her husband, their two children (ages three years and seven weeks), and the family dogs. When possible, they head west to enjoy ski season!

As the spouse of a physician and a new parent, Hannah deeply values access to excellent healthcare. Her family’s positive experiences with Dayton Children’s providers and staff have strengthened her commitment and she is excited to join the board to help ensure that all kids in our community have the care and resources they need.

"Hi! My name is Amelia and I am extremely honored to be joining the board! I currently live in Centerville with my husband Max, our adorable little girl Edith, and our 90 lb lab puppy Gus. I just recently closed a 12 year chapter at LexisNexis to become a stay at home Mom to Edith and it’s been an amazing adventure so far. I can’t wait to bring my experience and enthusiasm to this board!"
