If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind Rise, meet De’Asia Thompson. A woman whose story is all about resilience, healing, and pouring into others. 💙

She’s a two-time cancer survivor and former teen mom who turned her struggles into fuel for her purpose. Now, she’s a therapist, professor, doctoral candidate, and Region 7 Co-Director for NASW, fighting for mental wellness and social work advocacy every day.

But let’s be real. She’s more than her titles. De’Asia is a book lover, lifelong learner, and proud Delta ❤️🐘. She’s also a huge Marvel and Harry Potter fan (yes, she has strong opinions on both). When she’s not changing lives, she’s traveling, binge-watching her favorite shows, or soaking up some much-needed rest with her husband, three kids, and two dogs.
