As adults, If we haven’t processed the trauma that lives within us from childhood, we will have a whole array of issues in our relationships.
Trauma changes us. It rewires our brain and we can easily get triggered into states of fight, flight, or freeze.
Our trauma can show up as a feeling that danger, betrayal, or harm may be imminent.
We can often feel rejected or abandoned.
As a survivor we feel vulnerable and confused about what is safe, and for me it was difficult to trust people.
Trauma must be addressed.
It’s not at all easy. You’re on a long road to recovery, and it will be the most worthwhile journey you will take.
Healing is your greatest accomplishment my loves. 🦋
