Slowly but surely I’m healing from my get-off on June 17 down in Shawnee State Park. The toe seems to be better as I’m able to wear my sneaks all day long. I do still, however, have a bit of swelling of my foot. My bout with shingles is coming to an end. All I can say is that the anti-viral drug is really some good stuff provided you catch the infection early. The ribs are healing slowly and they only hurt when I lay flat on my back. Now if we can get my shoulder fixed! I finally get see the doctor Tuesday for that and we’ll have to see how that goes.

The repair of Twyla is progressing albeit slowly. I’ve received from the insurance an estimated amount for the repair minus my deductible. Now comes the fun part, getting the repair parts from Triumph. Les from CCM said that they’d not been notified that the repair had been approved from the insurance company but indicated that it was pretty common. Anyway, he’ll start the parts ordering process. Hope that goes smoothly

I did find out that Twyla is their first repair and their first exposure to a Trophy SE. Should be interesting.

I suspect that they’ll get the repair done before I am healed and ready to ride but you never know.

Just finished my first session (and only for now) with the in-home physical therapist since I’m grounded from driving. She was happy with my broken toe and damaged ribs and indicated that I was doing all the correct things for them.

The shoulder is another matter. I showed her the MRI from yesterday. Her assessment is that I’ll likely need surgery. I’ll know for sure when I see the orthopedic doctor Monday. The surgery will put me back even more before I can ride Twyla. She did provide some exercises that will help to keep my arm in somewhat good condition.

So it looks like I may be out for the rest of the year, but I’ll know for sure when I see the doctor Monday.

In any event, I’ll still try my best to attend the monthly meeting and maybe even have brunch with ya’ll for the Intro Rides. I’ll also be available to setup the events on Facebook.

Tomorrow is the June Moto Pack Ride. It’s approximately 140 mile ride to The Ribber in Portsmouth. I have 2 stops planned on the way. The first will be the Marathon gas station on 28 as you enter Greenfield. The second is the lodge at Shawnee State Forest. It will take a bit of time to get there so we need to leave a little early. Kickstands up at 8:30.

It’s supposed to be a beautiful sunny day with a high of 77. I hope to see many of you for this ride.
