We provide a free ambulance service to those living in the UD community. Feel free to stop by the EMS house and check out the ambulance or chat with the crew.

University of Dayton Emergency Medical Services is a state certified Basic Life Support ambulance. Approximately 60 undergraduate students at the University of Dayton serve the UD community 24/7. As exam week wraps up and students head home for break, Squad 1 wishes everyone a safe and joyful holiday season! ❄️

We’ve been busy soaking in the last few weeks—spending time with the kiddos at Christmas on Campus, enjoying a squad laser tag night, hosting Squadsgiving, and celebrating with Secret Santa. Special shoutout to our Special Events Officer, .mckeownnn for organizing such wonderful events!

This past week, UD EMS proudly celebrated National Collegiate EMS Week 2025! 🚑💙 We had an amazing time and stayed busy with a variety of activities and events across campus.
We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the UD community in such a meaningful way. We are proud of each of our EMTs, who embody our mission of “Students Helping Students” through their hard work, dedication, and commitment to this organization!

Our Story

University of Dayton EMS (UD EMS), formerly known as UD Rescue Squad, is located on the University of Dayton's Campus in Dayton, Ohio. Founded in 1992, we are a 100% student run volunteer Emergency Medical Services organization composed of undergraduate UD students. We provide pre-hospital care and transportation for all medical and trauma emergencies on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic year.
