For more than a century, our facility’s name has represented compassion, care, and community. As we look to the future, we are excited to begin a new chapter with a new name: East Valley Healthcare Center.

While our name is changing, our mission is not. We remain deeply committed to honoring the legacy, history, and generations of residents, families, and staff who helped shape who we are today. The stories, traditions, and memories connected to our past will continue to be celebrated and shared.

This new name reflects our vision for the future while carrying forward the values that have guided us for over 100 years.

🎉 What a week it has been! 🎉

We have had so much fun celebrating National Nursing Home Week with our amazing residents, staff, and families! From spirit days and delicious treats to laughter, smiles, and special memories — this week has truly been one to remember. 💙

Our residents at Widows Home of Dayton had a festive Cinco de Mayo celebration! 🎉🌮🇲🇽 They enjoyed mock margaritas 🍹, chips and salsa 🥑🌶️, and all the classic staples of the day. 😋🎶 Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 🇲🇽⚔️—a meaningful moment in history and a great reason to come together, celebrate, and share joy. 💃🕺❤️🎊

Dear Staff, Residents, and Families, and of course our vendors!

Thank you all for taking part in our very first Mini Health Care Fair. Your participation, enthusiasm, and support helped make this event a meaningful and successful experience for everyone involved.

It was wonderful to see our community come together to learn, share, and engage in conversations about health and wellness. We truly appreciate the time and effort each of you contributed.

We are excited to build on this momentum and plan to host more events like this in the future, featuring a variety of informative and engaging health topics.

It is with heavy hearts that all of us at the Widows Home of Dayton share the passing of one of our cherished residents. They were a valued part of our community, and their presence will be deeply missed by staff and fellow residents alike.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to their family and loved ones during this difficult time. It was truly an honor to know and care for them, and we will carry their memory with us always.

Rest in peace—you will never be forgotten. 🤍
