She loves the babies because this was her nursing career passion. "Janet was a lifeline in moments of fear and joy. As a nurse, she welcomed hundreds of tiny lives into the world, protecting mothers and guiding families through their most vulnerable, human moments. Her hands were steady, her heart was kind, and her dedication was unwavering. Today, we honor the nurse who brought so much light to so many. We celebrate you, Janet, for the love you gave to others."

Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in nursing, Ms. Elliott has earned distinction as a registered nurse with Halifax Health. From 1999 until her retirement in 2013, she focused her efforts on working with patients in the neonatal intensive care unit. She was also appointed the director of the obstetrics department for her outstanding leadership and compassion.

I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible Wellness Team. This team consistently goes above and beyond to care for our residents with a level of love and compassion that truly cannot be measured. What they do each day is not just a job, it comes straight from their hearts.

Our residents are blessed to be cared for by such dedicated, patient, and kind individuals who treat them with dignity, respect, and genuine concern every single day.

This outstanding team is led by an exceptional leader, Cathy Huband, whose heart for our residents shines through in everything she does. Cathy manages the daily needs of our residents with remarkable care, kindness, and professionalism. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication set the tone for excellence throughout the entire team.

I truly cannot say enough about this group of caregivers. We are beyond grateful for all that you do and for the love you pour into our residents and our community every day.

There are teams… and then there is our Heritage team, a team that truly cannot be touched. No matter the challenge, no matter the pressure, they come together with heart, determination, and an unwavering commitment to our residents and families.
Once again, they pulled together and created the most amazing holiday party, filled with love, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. The joy on the faces of our residents and their families says everything.
Teamwork doesn’t even begin to describe what this group represents. This is unity, compassion, and family in action. Each person brings something special, and together they create something truly extraordinary.
