Angelina is a nurse, educator, and the President & CEO of Alberto’s Kids. She’s driven by faith and a lifelong calling to serve others — inspired by the kindness she received growing up.

Hello and Happy Nonprofit Wednesday!!! This months featured nonprofit is Alberto's Kids Nonprofit.
Alberto’s Kids started with a pizza shop and a purpose. 🍕❤️
Before they became a nonprofit, their journey began in 2018 with Alberto’s Pizza in Port Orange — where serving others meant more than great food.

In 2024, they launched Alberto’s Kids to take that mission even further — helping children and families with food, clothing, school supplies, and community support.

They believe the greatest good… is what we do for others. 🙌

It was an honor to highlight such a wonderful Nonprofit again this month. Straight Up SolGier is doing wonderful things for our community. Happy NonProfit Wednesday!! This months feature is the Straight Up SolGier Foundation. They help children and adults who have been affected due to sexual abuse in Volusia and Flagler Counties. They have their annual Sit-A-Thom coming up in November. Save the Date Saturday November 1st, 2025, its for a great cause, and fun for the entire family. It's NonProfit Wednesday again! My favorite part of the week. This months feature nonprofit is the Straight Up SolGier Foundation. They help with counseling for adults and children who have been affected due to sexual abuse.
This is their story of how and why they got started. Straight Up SolGier Foundation was started by the McGuirk Family after their son Matt was sexually abused by his school teacher at the age of 8. After years of dealing with his demons from the abuse, Matt started to experiment with drugs and accidently overdosed in 2011. Prior to Matt passing away he designed the SolGier logo spelling "SolGier" with a capital "G" for God as it is pointing straight up. The McGuirk Family wanted to be able to provide counseling and help victims of sexual abuse in Volusia and Flagler Counties.
