Many believers forget the authority that God has already given them. Because of fear, doubt, and the lies of the enemy, they begin to live like victims instead of victors. But the Word of God clearly reminds us in Luke 10:19 that Jesus has given His followers authority over the power of the enemy. This means the enemy has no right to control your life, your mind, your family, or your future.
The enemy may try to intimidate you with problems, temptations, and discouragement, but remember that his power is limited when you stand in the authority of Christ. Just as a soldier wears armor for protection, believers are covered by the authority of Jesus. When you walk in faith, obedience, and truth, the enemy cannot defeat you.
The serpent represents deception, fear, and the attacks of darkness. But the image of the armored foot crushing it reminds us of a powerful truth: evil does not have the final say—God does. Through Christ, we are not powerless. We are called to stand firm, resist the enemy, and walk boldly in the victory that Jesus has already won.
Do not allow the enemy to convince you that you are weak or defeated. When trials come, remember who you belong to. You are a child of God, covered by His grace, protected by His power, and strengthened by His Spirit.
Stand in your authority. Walk in faith. Speak the truth of God's Word. And remember: the enemy only has power when we forget the authority that Christ has already given us.
"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
