AdventHealth University Physician Assistant Department recently awarded EMPros Physician Assistant, Paul Grenelle as the AdventHealth University Distinguished Preceptor of the Year!
Program Director, Whitney Balmert stated, “we could not be more thrilled to have had the opportunity to recognize Paul at our White Coat Ceremony. He is truly exceptional, not only as a provider, but as an educator as well. Many have chosen to pursue a career in emergency medicine after completing their rotation with him—and several have even gone on to join your team.”
At the ceremony, Whitney said “the AdventHealth University Distinguished Preceptor of the Year Award honors clinical faculty who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to educating and mentoring the next generation of physician assistants. Each year, the recipient is selected based on their years of service, dedication to providing meaningful clinical learning experiences, and the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from students.
Paul exemplifies all of these qualities. For the past five years, he has served as a steadfast and inspiring preceptor for our program. His thoughtful teaching style, dedication to patient care, and consistent presence have left a profound and lasting impression on those fortunate enough to learn under his guidance. This award is not only a recognition of his service—it is a celebration of the extraordinary impact he has made on our students, our program, and the PA profession as a whole.”
Paul, graciously receiving his award said: “I should not be up here alone as being a successful preceptor is a team effort. I would like to thank Dr. Petrozzino and EMPros for allowing me the opportunity to pour into these students. I would like to thank my fellow providers, nurses and staff at AdventHealth Daytona Beach and Port Orange for their patience, kindness and willingness to teach the students.”
Paul, we are all incredibly proud of you – thank you for pouring your heart and soul into teaching the next generation!
