Daytona Beach, FL — Congratualtions to our very own Dr. Aneesah Farris, chiropractic physician, healthcare entrepreneur, and community advocate, who has been named the President of the Domestic Abuse Council of Volusia County ( DAC) for the 2025–2026 term.
Dr. Farris brings a strong commitment to service, wellness, and survivor advocacy to her leadership role. She has long been dedicated to supporting individuals and families through healthcare access, education, and community-based initiatives.
“DAC’s mission represents hope, safety, and healing,” said Dr. Farris. “Every survivor deserves dignity, support, and the opportunity to rebuild their life free from fear. My work has always centered on service, and leading DAC is a natural extension of that purpose.”
During her term, Dr. Farris aims to strengthen DAC’s impact through sound governance, sustainable growth, and deeper community collaboration. Her goals include expanding awareness of DAC’s services, enhancing survivor-centered programming, and fostering a unified, mission-driven board culture that supports both leadership and staff.
“I am committed to ensuring DAC remains a trusted, forward-thinking organization that meets the evolving needs of our community while staying grounded in compassion and accountability,” she added.
Dr. Farris also shared a message of encouragement for survivors and those seeking to support the organization.
“To survivors: you are not alone, and healing is possible. DAC is here to walk alongside you. To our community: your involvement, whether through volunteering, advocacy, or partnership creates safer homes and stronger futures for families across Volusia County.”
Professionally, Dr. Farris is the owner and operator of Helping Hands Family Chiropractic, where she provides holistic, family-centered care focused on wellness and prevention. Beyond her clinical work, she serves on multiple nonprofit boards and committees and is actively involved in initiatives supporting domestic violence prevention, women’s health, youth development, and education. Her leadership and service have earned her numerous community and business leadership awards.
Outside of her professional and civic responsibilities, Dr. Farris enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, participating in community events, and supporting programs that uplift women and youth.
