This past Monday, Halifax Health | UF Health - Medical Center of Deltona hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the finishing touches on our expanded Emergency Department, 4th floor, and 6th floor!

These enhanced spaces are designed to support high-quality, compassionate care for our community.

Halifax Health is pleased to welcome Caren Wilkie, MD, a board‑certified general surgeon and fellowship‑trained breast surgical oncologist with a focus on benign and malignant breast disease and high-risk breast conditions.

Dr. Wilkie brings decades of surgical experience, academic accomplishment, and military service to Halifax Health. She earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine after graduating summa cm laude from Emory University, where she completed dual degrees in English and Biology. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Florida Shands Teaching Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident, and later pursued advanced fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center.

He is responsible for providing leasing support, financial and capital analysis, decision support for operational initiatives, and accurate financial reporting. He is known for his resourcefulness and ownership. Wright effectively communicates, refines analyses, and helps structure processes to clearly define expectations.
