I know that some people feel uneasy when they hear words like tarot, or intuitive practices. I understand where that concern comes from. Much of it comes from traditions that taught us to fear anything we do not fully understand. Sometimes when something is unfamiliar it can be misunderstood, but misunderstanding does not make something dark.
Fear has never been the path that God placed in my heart.
My life and my work have always been rooted in light, in service, and in a deep reverence for God and the intelligence that moves through all of creation. The Medicine Bar was never built from a place of darkness or rebellion against faith. It was built from the belief that God can move through many vessels, many people, and many tools.
Throughout scripture, God constantly used unexpected vessels. Prophets received visions. Dreams carried messages. Wisdom appeared through symbols, stories, and parables that people had to contemplate in order to understand. Much of spiritual tradition across cultures has always involved reflection, symbolism, and discernment.
Tools themselves are neutral. What matters is the heart and intention behind them.
A cup can hold water or wine. A voice can speak truth or harm. A symbol can be used for confusion or for insight. The same is true for practices like tarot or pendulum. It’s all energy. It matters where that energy comes from. For me they are not about prediction or control. They are simply a reflective tool that invites conversation, contemplation, and personal insight. Much like reading a passage of scripture and asking what it reveals about your life.
At The Medicine Bar everything we offer is rooted in healing, mindfulness, and connection to the divine. Yoga, herbs, breathwork, music, community, and reflection are all ways humans have sought meaning, wisdom, and a deeper connection to life for thousands of years. None of it is about fear. None of it is about darkness.
When people see something unfamiliar, it can sometimes trigger fear. That fear often says more about the stories we have been taught than about what is actually happening.
My intention has always been simple. To create a space where people can reconnect with their bodies, their hearts, and their personal relationship with God in a way that feels alive and authentic. A place where curiosity is welcomed and where love leads the conversation.
I do not operate from fear. I never have. I operate from faith.
Christy and Melody, the owner and manager of The Medicine Bar, both stand in deep devotion to living in alignment with truth, love, and service. We were both raised in deeply religious environments and have spent our lives studying and reflecting on the teachings of Christ. Those teachings of compassion, humility, and love are values we carry with us every day.
At the same time, The Medicine Bar was created as a space that welcomes all walks of life. People of different backgrounds, beliefs, and spiritual paths are all welcome here. Our intention is not to tell anyone what to believe, but to create an environment where people feel supported in reconnecting with their own inner wisdom, their own faith, and their own path.
We simply choose to lead with light rather than fear, and to trust the vision that has been placed in our hearts to create something that helps people heal, grow, and reconnect with what is sacred in their lives.
