1 in 5 people worldwide live with hearing loss.

That’s not just a number.

It’s millions of missed conversations.
Missed opportunities.
Missed connections.

The reality is—most of this is treatable.

But access is the barrier.

That’s why we go.

20,000 lives.

What started as a simple belief that hearing care should be accessible to everyone has now grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

Today, Hearing the Call celebrates an incredible milestone:
Over 20,000 people directly served through hearing healthcare outreach in the United States and around the world.

Behind every number is a story.
A grandmother hearing her family again.
A child hearing a classroom clearly for the first time.
A woman reconnecting with the world around them.

None of this happens alone.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, clinic partner, student, audiologist, supporter, and friend who has walked alongside us on this journey. Your compassion and generosity continue to change lives one person, one family, and one community at a time.

And we’re just getting started.

Because every voice matters.

Your hearing health is connected to your brain health.

Research continues to show a strong relationship between untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline. When hearing loss is addressed early, it helps keep the brain actively engaged in conversation, social interaction, and everyday life.

A hearing evaluation is quick, painless, and can provide valuable information about your overall health.

For many volunteers, serving with Hearing the Call is more than a trip. It’s a reminder of why they chose audiology in the first place.

Long days in clinic, dozens of patients, and communities waiting patiently for care that may not have been available before.

But somewhere during the day, a moment happens.

A patient hears their family clearly again.
A child responds to their name.
A smile spreads across the room.

And every volunteer is reminded that the skills they use every day can change lives far beyond their own community.

Hearing the Call volunteers bring expertise, compassion, and a willingness to serve where the need is greatest.

Because every voice matters.

This is Elena, and she was one of the first ever patients to receive hearing aids at Hearing The Call Mexico at the Integra clinic.

When she was just 10 years old, growing up in the countryside of Mexico, she lived in a world that was often quiet—not by choice, but because the care she needed simply wasn’t within reach. Her parents did everything they could, but there were no resources to treat her hearing loss.

Years passed like this—until 2022, when everything changed.

Her family learned about an opportunity through Hearing The Call and were told to bring her to the Integra Clinic in Coatzacoalcos. They made the journey, holding onto hope. There, Elena received hearing aids for the very first time.

And with that moment, her world opened.

Sounds she had never fully experienced before began to fill her days—voices, laughter, connection. She could finally be part of conversations, build friendships, and step into a classroom with confidence.

Today, Elena is in seventh grade. She hears her teachers, her friends, and her family. She’s no longer on the outside looking in—she’s fully present, fully engaged, and fully heard.

Through the work of Hearing The Call, a simple intervention didn’t just give Elena hearing.

It gave her a future.
