My name is Brian Herbers and I look forward to our working together. Before we begin, I would like to explain to you how I work and what you can expect. Once we meet for a session I will go over your intake paperwork with you and discus any concerns you are having. Once a treatment has been agreed upon I will exit the room so that you may undress to your level of comfort. This is either fully undressed or undressed down to your underwear. If you feel you would like to leave more clothing on please do – we can certainly still complete a therapeutic and relaxing massage with additional clothing. I will allow you plenty of time to undress and to lay on the table covering yourself with the sheet and blanket already on the table. I will knock prior to entering the room to ensure you are ready. Please know that you will always be properly draped and only the area of your body being massaged will be uncovered. Almost everything is adjustable. If you are too hot or cold, please let me know and so that I can adjust the level of coverings or the temperature level of the room to your comfort. There will be a bolster under your feet while lying on your stomach or under your knees when lying on your back and can always be removed if not comfortable. The headrest is also adjustable. I will ask first thing upon entering if anything needs to be adjusted to ensure your comfort. The level of pressure during the massage is different for everyone. Please let me know if the pressure is too light or too deep. I will also check in with you during the massage as to the pressure, please let me know at anytime if you would prefer lighter or deeper pressure. The massage will start out with a lighter touch to warm up your muscles and get the blood flowing and then proceed into a deeper touch. During the session, I may ask you to scoot down and roll over if on your stomach or roll over and move up to place your head in the face cradle. Again, you will be fully draped during the transition. Once the session is over, I will exit the room to allow you to redress. Take your time getting up and getting ready – it is natural to feel light headed. Exit and we will have a brief discussion.
