Residents filled eggs today for Easter Sunday with candy .  These will be given to each resident on their lunch tray Sunday for Easter. Hope everyone remembers why we are celebrating Easter, The resurrection of Christ our Savior who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day praise God. Kemper Elementary students recognized Black History Month in February. Here are a few of the highlights of their parade that they brought to our residents at MCCD. Thank you for the teachers and helpers who came with the children. They were all very well behaved and held their posters with proudness remembering ones such as Jackie Robinson, MLK, and others. We are always happy to see the children next door. Thanks again for coming.

Ginger Stovall from ACG Hospice came Tuesday and entertained our residents with for a Madri Gras party , she had nachos and cheese and drink with bags of treats and we gave out necklaces from Mardi Gras that was collected by some of our staff who shared their beads with our residents. Thank you Ginger for coming out and putting in smiles on theirfaces

MCCD residents enjoyed a valentine Social on Friday afternoon with strawberry milkshakes, little Debbie Heart cakes,.thank you too, Patricia, Kathy ,Maddie,, and Rhonda that helped me to make this Social a success. They’re already asking, When will we do this again .happy Valentine’s Day to our residents, we love you very much.

We tried a new activities today with spoons. Each player has five spoons 10 pennies and a cup at the end of their spoons. The object of the game is put Penny in first spoon. Then transfer that penny to the next spoon till you go all the way to the end without dropping it ,if you drop the penny, you have to start back over once you get all the way to the end with your penny, you put it in the cup ,the person who has the most pennies in their cup at the end of two minutes it’s a winner so today we’ve had a really good competition with the residents and the winner of the competition was Miss Eva Sciple . Congratulations Miss Eva. You did really really well .
