Tried a new activity today that gave the residents memory a challenge. 10 red cups with a colored Easter egg under each cup each cup had a different color under them and you pick up a cup in one row then you pick up another cup in the other row and you match the colors. Let everyone see the colors so that they can remember where that color was. If they chose a cup in each row and it matched, they were given a little prize then we mixed those 2 cups back up in the row. This was a very good activity for the mind. I couldn’t even remember where they were but we had some residence. That was very good at it. We will keep this activity on our schedule.

The Residents at MCCD would like to thank those involved with helping us to having a Great Year 2025,now we re going into a new year 2026, we hope to have a bigger and better year than the previous year. Happy New Year to each of you and May God Bless you and your families.

Congratulations to MS Helen Cole Grady being selected by the residents for our November employee of the month. MS Helen works in our dietary department that make sure that our resident’s meals are prepared to their liking. Again, thank you, MS Helen for all your hard work and time.

MCCD  residents Christmas party pictures. oh what fun we had, Santa Claus, karaoke with the three bars, refreshments, and gifts. Then came the snow. What a fun time we had with our wonderful residents . We would like to say Merry Christmas to our families and friends. Happy birthday baby Jesus .Thank you to each one who made sure every resident received a gift.

Kemper County Homemaker’s Club came and decorated the Christmas trees in our lobby. They did a really great job. They also brought Christmas gifts for our residents. Santa Claus will be handing out gifts on December 12 at the resident’s  Christmas party so if you have anything that you will be bringing to donate for Santa ,please do so by Wednesday December 10 th .thank you as always for your support to make our resident’s have a blessed and a joyful Christmas . God is Good. Merry Christmas to everyone

Mississippi homemakers club came today for residents monthly birthday party. They always bring a birthday cake ,chips and drinks and presents for the birthdays of the month. Today they brought with them bags that they had made for wheelchairs and walkers.The residents are always happy to see them come each month. Thank you to the Mississippi Homemakers Club Kemper County.
